Systems EngineerA global leading biopharmaceutical client requires an experienced Laboratory Systems Engineer to join their new build biotech facility.
Location: Dublin, Ireland
Start: May 2016
Duration: Initial 12 month contract (possibility of a permanent position following this)
Reporting to: QC Systems Manager
Reporting to the QC Systems Manager, the Systems Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing a programme for the development, implementation and management of electronic analytical methods. The Systems Engineer will participate in the qualification of SmartLab-related software, electronic methods and interfaces to other laboratory software systems.
Main responsibilities
- Testing the software for laboratory equipment
- Testing the software on computer systems in the laboratory
- Developing a training programme for the implementation of a new electronic system in the laboratory
- Performing the role of super-user from electronic systems
- Participating in the development of electronic methods for QC operations
Qualifications
- The successful candidate will have 5 years’ experience in a GMP laboratory setting
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to contribute to and lead in a team-based environment
- The candidate will also have a strong understanding of the needs of a routine drug product release laboratory
- In addition, the candidate will demonstrate a problem solving ability and be able to prioritise multiple projects
