My client based in the West Midlands is keen to recruit an experienced Project manager with a background in business transformation projects within the Procurement/Purchasing function of a business.
You will be initially be required to assist the client in delivering an e-catalogue programme, working closely with the user community and stakeholders, representing the business while facing off and working closely with the clients IT representatives and 3rd party suppliers. The role will then develop into a wider transformation project management position working with the client to deliver major business change across their procurement function. It is expected that you will have a thorough understanding of the procurement function, having possibly had an earlier career in purchasing before moving into business transformation. You should also have proven project management experience and be able to work in both Prince and Agile environments. This is a challenging role within a complex business, excellent stakeholder skills are a must.
