Contracts / Commercial Manager

Telecoms (London) 6 Months

The role:

Senior Contracts / Commercial Manager required for a Communications Company based in London on a 6 Month Contract

Responsibilities:

  • Manage in-life customer contracts to maximise profitability and mitigate risk. Verify and approve milestone capex/opex funding for drawdown by Delivery and Service against approved contract business case and delivery plan. Apply commercial governance to future capex/opex requests, work with Sales & Service Mgmt to manage Contract Change Process; ensure that pricing structures, resourcing and other commercial terms are assessed and adjusted as needed to achieve targeted contract profitability.
  • Develop deal negotiations strategy to mitigate commercial risk, and lead/manage execution via direct negotiation with customer, and/or indirectly across internal cross functional teams, to assure profitable outcome against business targets
  • Ensure commercial governance and internal approvals followed for all contracts
  • Help sales identify/evaluate profitable new business opportunities within the customer base.
  • Engage directly with customers and suppliers to proactively manage commercial risk throughout contract development and in life management.

Experience:

  • Must have a background in Telecoms Commercial or Contract Management
  • Must be available to start at short notice
