To assist in the provision of public sector construction projects.
Job Purpose:
The Senior Category Specialist is responsible for leading category specific procurement exercises which secure the goods, works and services that most appropriately address the identified needs whilst ensuring Value For Money, compliance with relevant policy and procurement legislation, and generating cashable and non-cashable efficiencies throughout the life of our contracts.
Requirements:
- Experience of various standard forms of contracts, eg NEC, JCT
- Possess relevant construction knowledge and understanding
- The ability to analyse contracts and specifications, to understand the appropriate route to market
- Enthusiastic, self-driven, determined and thorough in approach
- Capable of working independently and carrying out analysis and interpretation of complex data
