Currently seeking a Senior Financial Auditor, to fulfil a contracting opportunity for my client based at their offices in Cambridge; due to commence early October and run for a period of 12 months until October 2017.

Within UK&I Finance, Controllership maintains an effective control framework, as well as responsibility for management and fiscal reporting.

This role includes responsibility for the Autonomy entities annual statutory accounts, all other internal and external reporting requirements, provisioning, reconciliation, analysis, accounting and reporting. We manage accounting transactions and ensure that we all comply with legal, tax and internal requirements.

This role within Autonomy UK&I Controllership is based in Cambridge. Working in a team of 5, it covers:

Statutory accounts

  • Preparation and review of statutory accounts for Autonomy companies ~ 10 entities, including wording for disclosure notes, prior to submission to the corporate tax team.
  • Including preparation and review of any statutory adjustments.
  • Liaising with external auditors, addressing any questions.
  • Assistance with liquidation work
  • IFRS Conversion work
  • Journal posting and review
  • Analytical review of key profit and loss areas
  • Preparation and/or review of various balance sheet account reconciliations.

Other

  • Assistance with ROW entity statutory accounts and audit assistance as required
  • Any other Ad-hoc requests

The qualities for the role are as follows:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years PQE.
  • US GAAP & IFRS knowledge.
  • Good spreadsheet/excel skills (required), other systems used are SAP and various web based tools (desired)
