Position: Accounting Clerk
Location: Riverside, CA
Duration: 12 months
Job Description:
- Performs basic accounting functions which require knowledge of accounts payable and receivable and of reconciliation functions.
- Answers customer inquires.
- Research problems and or complaints.
- Creates and edits spreadsheets. Understanding of general accounting principles.
- Knowledge of basic functions with spreadsheet software such as Excel. Good analytical skills.
- Proficient in mathematics.
- Ability to follow procedures and keep records.
- Under direct supervision, performs bookkeeping and accounting tasks. Posts journal or voucher entries, reconciles accounts, and checks for accuracy.
- Verifies, sorts, posts, and checks claims, bills, invoices, and vouchers.
- Typically requires a high school education or equivalent with 5+ years of experience.
- This position will be an Accounts Payable Clerk.
- Should have strong Excel and a good understanding of General Ledger. Will perform Front End accounting, working with coding invoices correctly, handling payment inquiries and customer service.
- Clients are internal business partners so need someone with excellent communication skills and ability to keep a professional attitude in all situations.
