Responsibilities:
- To take responsibility and to manage all aspects in the running of the Care Home.
- To ensure that all staff members contribute, to the best of their ability, to the efficient running of the Home and the creation of an atmosphere conducive to the best interests of the Clients.
- To promote a caring environment which provides residents with a high standard of specialised personal care, meeting individual needs and ensuring everyone is treated with respect, dignity and rights to privacy, independence and choice are met.
- To manage, monitor and evaluate the care delivered to residents to achieve the highest possible standard of care.
- To formulate individualised care plans and assess new residents.
- To ensure all medication is administered and recorded accurately and that stock is maintained in accordance with legal requirements.
- To motivate, carry out supervisions at regular intervals and ensure all staff are trained and updated with new care guidelines/protocols.
Qualifications/Professional experiences Required:
- Must have at least 3 years already working as a Registered Home Manager in a residential setting.
- In depth knowledge of Dementia.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively at all levels
- Desired to have: NVQ Level 5 Management of Care
