Senior Planning Officer - Transportation & Parking (Civil Engineering, DMRB, Transport Modelling) required for initial 3-month contract based in East Lothian
Our client has an excellent opportunity for a Senior Planning Officer who will oversee the deliverability of a new parking enforcement service and provide assistance in the provision of a transportation planning service.
Essential Skills
- Minimum degree qualification in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Practical experience of parking related industry and transportation planning.
- Working knowledge of DMRB, parking, transport planning, road and drainage standards public sector procurement procedures, roads and traffic legislation and other best practice documentation and associated legislation.
- Able to convey technical information to non-technical persons.
- Thorough knowledge of Health and Safety Legislation.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office based applications.
Desirable Skills
- Transport modelling using Arcady, Picardy, Transyt, Micro/macro sims.
