Senior Manager (Actuarial) - Capital Modelling
Leeds based, £71,025 to £142,050 per annum plus benefits and bonus
Our financial services client is looking for a qualified Actuary and experienced Senior Manager to join their team responsible for the banks capital requirements within the insurance division. Great opportunity in one of the big 5 UK banks to join in a high profile role interacting with a range of senior stakeholders.
You will be responsible for leading a team of actuaries in a critical role responsible for delivering key capital outputs such as Solvency Capital Requirements (SRC), capital forecasts and regulatory reports such as QRTs. Your team will also be responsible for maintaining existing capital models (Igloo) and economic scenario generators, contributing towards setting modelling assumptions and methodologies. As a senior manager you will spend a good proportion of your time working with key senior stakeholders at "head of" and executive level plus you would also represent the bank as subject matter expert in discussions with the PRA.
In order to carry out this role you should be a qualified Actuary with experience at the senior management level plus a high level of technical skill in the core actuarial, solvency and capital areas. You should also have good knowledge of the insurance industry and related products. Your background will include delivering high quality model outputs to challenging timescales and excellent communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical specialist stakeholders. Ideally you will have a solvency II background with ICA/SCR calculations.
