Description
A proactive and meticulous Financial Accountant with the ability to explain and challenge complex financial transactions with non-finance staff is required for a 6 month contract based in Wiltshire.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a large organisation currently undergoing a major transition and to be an integral part of a dynamic finance team.
The Financial Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of fully compliant IFRS/FRS101 statutory accounts and the main point of contact for all technical accounting queries.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing statutory accounts under IFRS/FRS101
- Managing the relationship with the account production software supplier
- Ensuring the system is running effectively and the current version contains up to date disclosures
- Reviewing VAT returns
- Assisting with projects on an ad-hoc basis
- Attending Group workshops on upcoming changes to accounting standard and process improvements
The Financial Accountant will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong financial control experience from an audit background. You will also have excellent communication skills to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
