Supply Chain Lead- Defence
A Supply Chain Lead with defence experience is required to work on a six month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our defence client based in Glasgow.
This is a 6 month contract with a leading UK defence company.
Overview of the Supply Chain Lead contract role
You will be required to work as an interface within the programme for material and documentation delivery, liaising with supply chain, planning, manufacturing and the delivery teams. Implementing new processes and embedding these into the business and programme and making recommendations into the procurement teams on material strategy to enable the manufacturing environment.
Key skills required for the Supply Chain Lead
- Extensive knowledge of MRP and using an ERP toolset.
- Full understanding of end to end Supply Chain and material process flow.
- Excellent analytical skills (excel).
- Ability to develop management reports for snr stakeholders.
- Previous experience in the defence sector (desirable).
- BOM experience (desirable).
The role is based in Glasgow - Commutable from Kilmarnock, Paisley, Greenock, Stirling and Falkirk with excellent access from Edinburgh.
