Description
EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ year's experience as an Automation engineer or in the field of Process or Equipment engineering, in a high technology/high volume manufacturing environment.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Be responsible of process sustainability of assembly areas.
- Improve assembly yield through the use of engineering methods such as SPC, FMEA, Pareto Analysis, Control Charts and Poka Yoke.
- Define and optimize critical process parameters through the employment of DoE.
- Need to have good hands-on systems integration experience, PLC and HMI programming and configuration, troubleshooting, and start-up and commissioning of work projects.
- Develop drawing and detailed technical documentation with specifications. Support plant automation and process engineering, including PLC programming, automation and troubleshooting.
- Manage multiple projects in manufacturing environment from maintenance of existing machines to specifying, purchasing and set up of new equipment.
- Integration of different equipment aspects (software and hardware).
- Discus with vendors on machine requirement, following up and ensuring that timeline is met.
- Purchasing of new or used equipment, set-up, qualification and release in production.
- Ability to provide good quality results under pressure and in a timely manner.
MUST BE FAMILIAR WITH:
- PLC programming and troubleshooting proficiency Industrial Communications Material Handling and Machine Automation Mechanics.
- Variable frequency drives.
- Vision systems and control loops.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highly motivated and must be able to work with minimum supervision.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Good analytical and problem solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Hands on experience on engineering methods such as FMEA, SPC, Pareto Analysis, Control Charts, Poka Yoke, 8D methodology and DoE.
- Plastic Molding experience a plus.
