Financial Controller - Junior to Mid-Level - £250/day - Long term contract
My client is a specialist Fixed Income asset manager based in the City. They have £500 Billion under management and are going through a period of rapid growth and as a result are hiring quite aggressively.
They require a Financial Controller to come on board on a 9 month rolling contract paying £250 per day.
They are looking for someone who is partly or wholly AAT qualified as well as the following skills:
*Strong Excel skills
*General Ledger experience - Peoplesoft/Oracle
*3-5 years' experience
*Financial services background
The role will involve:
*Bank reconciliations - weekly and monthly including KPI summary
*Daily monitoring of cash receipts
*Month end journals (in Peoplesoft accounting system) (bank interest and charges, sundry invoices and payments)
*Monthly update of template for investments and dividends
*Monitoring of suspense account entries on a weekly basis and assist in resolving
*Running of reports to assist in quarterly VAT data preparation
*Sundry on-line payments
*Ad hoc requests as required
*Assist in commencing transition of select tasks offshore
