Senior Customer Due Diligence Analyst: Mandarin Speaker: Global Energy Trading Co.

World Leading Global Energy Trading Company has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Customer Due Diligence Analyst to join this dynamic London based team on an initial 12 months contract, with long-term prospects.

As a Senior Due Diligence Analyst, you will be responsible for researching complex high risk counterparties to perform a risk assessment and make a recommendation on their suitability to do business with the company. Your research will predominantly focus on the counterparties geographical presence, industry, products traded, political status, and reputation.

About the Role:

  • Undertake standard and enhanced customer due diligence to make recommendations on the suitability of business relationships
  • Undertake anti-bribery and corruption reviews to determine the risk profiles of counter-parties
  • Accurately identify PEPs and determine their overall risk rating and impact to prospective business relationships
  • Perform MiFID classifications in line with COBS
  • Analyse and verify evidence collated during the customer due diligence process to ensure authenticity
  • Liaise with external counter-parties to collate required company information/documentation
  • Prepare customer due diligence review files and ensure all internal and regulatory records management standards are adhered to
  • Collaborate with commercial and functional stakeholders to enhance their understanding of the financial crime on-boarding requirements
  • Develop an understanding of the internal Trading & Supply financial crime systems and controls

About You:

  • MUST BE A FLUENT MANDARIN SPEAKER
  • Have a minimum of 3 years experience in financial crime/customer due diligence environment
  • Detailed knowledge of financial crime risks with the ability to articulate and document concerns in a clear and concise manner
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure in a fast paced commercial environment
  • Ability to analyse substantial amounts of data and identify red flags
  • A self starter who can work to a policy but also demonstrate the initiative to provide solutions when required
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
