We are currently recruiting a Communication/Correspondence Manager to be based in Inner London for an initial period of six months with possible extension.

Essential Experience:
An ability to work rapidly, adapting to a changing caseload.
High level of written English.
Ability to write in various voices for different correspondence styles.
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, making the most of your time and dealing authoritatively and diplomatically with senior staff.
Knowledge or experience of Parliamentary processes.
Interest in or knowledge of the rail industry
You will be joining a high profile team, supporting the Ministerial and Stakeholder Engagement Manager for the successful delivery of all formal Rail Franchising communication, including Parliamentary Questions, Treat Official, to promote transparency and understanding of the Rail Franchising Programme's delivery targets, actions and wider aims.
Key activities in this post include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for the effective processing of all forms of external correspondence including parliamentary questions and ministerial and public correspondence by managing responses and contributions from teams.
Maintaining effective relationships with colleagues in your immediate team, Passenger Services and the wider Rail Group.
Ensuring information held by the team for responses is accurate and appropriately fact checked at regular intervals.
Supporting the wider work of the Public Affairs, Correspondence and Engagement team if appropriate.
Coordinating with other teams to ensure correspondence is answered in line with departmental policies and within the agreed deadlines. Work as a team to support other team members and Other general administrative duties as required
