Project Accountant
The Role
The Project Accountant will be based with a leading financial services company in Bristol on an initial contract length of 6 months. Although the initial contract is for 6 months, the contract has a very high potential to go long past the initial contract on offer and potentially be a 2 year contract. The initial day rate on offer is paying the market rate for Bristol.
The responsibilities of the Project Accountant will be to monitor and track the IT cost of a £20 million pound budget. You will be directly involved within the project life cycle and how that fits into the accounting cycle. You will also be liaising with numerous stakeholders across both IT and the business.
Some of the core characteristics that the successful Project Accountant will possess are extensive experience working as a Project Accountant. As the role sits with a large financial institution, experience with a large financial services company would be a must. Some of the desirable skills that the client has listed are fully qualified accountant or QBE, strong project costing knowledge, and knowledge of the project life cycle.
