Description

We are looking for 1x "Functional Analyst" to start a 3 months contract (initial, extensions likely) consultancy for an internat.Org'-client in Rome.

Our client is undertaking a large and global systems implementation project (Client Portal called ICP ) to extend the scope of the current Loans and Grants system. The portal is in production but its development cycle is continuing to further deliver new functionalities. Our client is an international organisation and a great reference in any CV! English speaking environment.

Start: earliest 20 FEB 2017; the (initial) contract will be for 3 months (extensions possible).

JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties and responsibilities

  • The Functional Analyst reports to the Project Manager and works under the supervision and guidance of the Functional Lead.
  • The Functional Analyst will be supporting the Functional Lead in the analysis and testing of functionalities and the Project Manager in the planning and PMO activities.

In particular the Functional Analyst will be responsible for:

Functional Testing

  • Support the Functional lead in the analysis of the processes and reports;
  • In collaboration with the Subject Matter Experts, conduct Unit and User Acceptance Testing on selected processes and reports within the portal; and
  • Assist the Functional Lead in coordinating the test scenarios and in ensuring that all testing has been completed. Highlight any issues and report to the Functional Lead with proposals for solutions.

Project Management

  • Participate in, and support as required, the preparation and maintenance of ICP Progress Reports and presentations, providing feedback to the Project Manager, including information coordination from key project members and consultants, the identification of problem areas and ways in which these problems may be resolved.
  • Facilitate the timely preparation of relevant project documents, writing first drafts of documentation (as and when required), assisting in monitoring their review and update, proofreading and ensuring their availability to project stakeholders.

  • Perform other tasks required for the success of the programme and as determined

Qualification and experience

  • A university degree in business administration, ICT studies or related fields,
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. It is preferred that the candidate is able to demonstrate experience in:
    • performing functional testing of IT applications;
    • creating technical documentation such as user guides, technical guides, templates, training materials
    • creating project level documents, to include but not limited to meeting minutes, system administration, standard operating procedures and various required documents to support system implementation
    • Experience with financial process analysis and financial system implementation,
    • Suitability to undertake the responsibilities mentioned above at the required level,
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and oral,
    • Superior writing and editing skills in English,
    • Expert skills in the use of Microsoft Powerpoint 2010 and Microsoft Word,
    • Experience in the use of SharePoint and Microsoft Visio beneficial
    • Familiarity with the United Nations common system or international financial institutions is desirable, and
    • International experience working in several countries.

Languages

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English essential.
