Our Client is looking for a senior management of change Project manager to join their team

Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire/outskirts London

3 months potentially rolling

Focus

This role will work closely with senior client staff and the wider enterprise and client project team to:

  • Build a clear joint view of the change required to ensure the proposed transformation is a success by:
    • Agreeing the desired outcomes and business imperatives
    • Defining the impacts and gaps on all areas of the organisation
    • Identifying the responses and interventions required to address those impacts and fill the gaps
  • Enable the development of clear Management of Change Strategy that:
    • Defines the key success factors
    • Defines how the changes will be addressed
    • Aligns the change activities to the programme timeline and desired outcomes
    • Establishes clear business governance model for driving the change
  • Build a roadmap for these responses aligned to key programme/project milestones and beyond
    • What needs to be done to prepare and deliver the interventions
    • When are they required
    • Interdependencies
    • Provide a basis to look at the resources required.
  • Develop the structure and scale of the extended change organisation required to deliver the strategy and roadmap
    • Define roles and responsibilities The following summarises these core services.

Change Assessment

Following summarises the key activities envisaged in the performance of this service. However, it is not intended to be a complete list or reflect emerging needs identified as the project progresses.

Hold an initial meeting with the Client's MOC project lead.

The purpose of this meeting is to:

  • Ensure that the requirements of the undertaking of the impact assessment and strategy development are fully understood
  • To provide overview of organisation in the context of planned transformation (and provide identified documentation)
  • To agree the logistics and support for performance of sequence of interviews/meetings with stakeholders from different business functions
  • To develop and agree a joint plan for the performance on the information gathering and deliverable development and review.

Hold initial meeting with Client's Business Change Executive Sponsor. The purpose of this meeting is to:

  • Understand the current status of the organisation with respect to the transformation
  • To take guidance on the key issues or areas of concern
  • Review desired outcomes
  • Clarify role and expectations of the Executive Sponsor.

Work with the programme director and Customer team to obtain a common view of scope and major timelines for transformation.

Undertake interviews and meetings with business function stakeholders with the primary purpose of:

  • Understanding the Business Context - Identifying and capturing issues, requirements and desired outcomes; Review current status and capture high level view of what and why changes are needed/planned
  • Assessing the Gap - Expand and define the issues and gaps identified; define the nature and scale of the impact in the business function
  • Bridging the Gap - Identify any ongoing or planned activities aimed at raising the competency of part or all of the function. Understand the success of previous change or up-skilling activities and any constraints.

Change Strategy Development

With the support of the Client's MOC project lead develop a Management of Change strategy and roadmap. It intended that the strategy will address the agreed scope of the digital workplace programme. The roadmap will document future development and delivery activities aimed at supporting adoption and exploitation of the new capabilities provided by the digital workplace.

The Management of Change strategy will contain the following sections:

  • Vision and Strategy
  • Stakeholder alignment - supported by a draft stakeholder engagement plan
  • Communications strategy
  • Project Integration - the draft change roadmap
  • Skills and competencies (unless specific requirements emerge in the meetings this section will only focus on new ways of working)
  • Organization and process
  • People aspects that will need organisational and/or HR actions
  • Behaviours and Culture.

Provide a briefing to the Business Change Executive Sponsor and key stakeholders on the Management of Change strategy and roadmap in support of the review and approval.

Jointly with the MOC project lead develop the organization structure and roles and responsibilities for the change team. This will include:

  • Reviewing existing Customer capability - Exiting capability that can support the change activities; Existing services and solutions that may need to be modified/changed
  • Developing a RASIC for the change team and all points of governance and communication
  • Documenting governance processes for the change function.
