The VMware storage engineer will IDEALLY HAVE AT LEAST 65% of the following skills:
- A completed training at least at HBO level;
- Minimum 4 years experience in a complex IT environment;
- Knowledge of and experience with Scrum.
- Experience with Continuous delivery.
- Experience and affinity with operations
- Passion for Hitachi storage environments, Scripting.
- VMware knowledge.
The VMware storage engineer will perform the following responsibilities:
- As an experienced Storage Specialist, you will work on various initiatives to further increase the availability of our infrastructure.
- Together with colleagues at Infrastructure division you implement proposals for improvement.
- In addition, you will work within the team to take on various tasks in the backlog, analyse outstanding problems in the infrastructure and perform structural improvements.
- The further automation of the management of the HDS/VMware environments;
- Providing functionality to end-users without specific VMware knowledge;
- Upgrading and patching all Servers to the latest VMware release;
- Developing and conducting tests, in close consultation with concerned Operations Engineers help with complex incidents, The shadowing standby services;
