Maintenance Technician/Engineer - Electrical Bias
Circa £28,000 p/a plus shift allowance
3 shift rota
12 month contract - immediate start
My Client are looking a time served electrical crafts person who has completed a recognised electrical apprenticeship program. The candidate must have also attended a technical college or further education establishment and gained a recognised qualification in the field of electrical engineering or control engineering
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
*To provide technical support and break down assistance to production area's
*The identification, diagnosis and repair of faults in electrical, instrument, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
*Work a shift pattern as part of a 24 hour, 7 day maintenance & production team and to liaise with production teams to ensure factory productivity targets and challenges are reached.
*The candidate must carry out all work required to an acceptable standard and to ensure the safety requirements of the 3M company
*The candidate must be willing to attend on site or off site training courses as required by 3M
Skills and Experience
*An in depth knowledge of PLC controlled automated machinery, (Allen Bradley preferred or Seimens)
*And modern drive control systems, (Eurotherm/SSD preferred or Lenze)
*Must possess and use good communication skills, written, typed or oral
*The technician must have the ability to develop a solution to prevent re-occurrence of a fault.
