Description

We are currently looking for x 2 Consultants to work as OFTO Coordinators for one of our leading renewable energy clients. The OFTO Coordinators will lead on the Coordination of the technical documentation and Q&A process in order to support the divestment of transmission assets. We are looking for 1 OFTO Coordinator to be able to start this 24 month freelance contract role from the beginning of March up until approx. 28th February 2019 and the other OFTO Coordinator to be able to start from 1st May 2017 until approx. 30th April 2019 with the possibility of extending further thereafter. The working week will be 8hrs, 5 days a week. The OFTO Coordinators will be based at our clients London offices.
Responsibilities: 
  • To maximise value of OFTO asset by ensuring optimal divestment process, documentation, technical due diligence and Q/A processes
  • To lead and coordinate on behalf of the EPC project the QA of documentation, with focus on commercial/investors aspect.
  • Support and coach Package Managers, with regards to transfer process, when required
  • Represent the EPC Project and liaise with Ofgem and their advisors, OFTO bidders and the OFTO preferred bidder to the extent necessary supporting the OFTO Transaction Manager throughout the process
  • To drive and lead in the preparation of and issuing of technical memos and papers to Ofgem and/or OFTO preferred bidder
  • To support in identifying and tracking a list of all key technical due diligence documents (including contracts) related to the project
  • To actively engage and influence Package Managers, contractors, document controllers and any other parties to obtain all necessary documentation in a timely manner
 Main Tasks:
  • Lead during pre-asset transfer for technical aspects associated with the OFTO divestment processes and negotiations
  • Coordinate the process of reviewing content of documents going into the transaction data room
  • Ensure obtained documents are properly reviewed and approved by Package Leads/Engineers
  • Assist in collating and grouping performed by the investor
  • Maintain overview the upload of documents to be transaction data room and the detailed record of uploaded documents
  • Take part in project meetings and support the OFTO Transaction Manager as and when required
  • Expedite missing documents by follow up on preparers, when necessary
  • To act as point of contact with respect to document control and technical due diligence issues
  • Report on progress, risk and issues to electrical PM, EPC management and transaction manager
Qualifications of Candidate: 
  • Minimum 5 years Project Management experience
  • Experience with design, procurement and construction of transmission assets
  • Experience with due diligence and sales/purchase of infrastructure assets
