Integration, Aircraft Ground Equipment
An In-Service Senior Support Engineer with Military Aircraft Product Knowledge, RSAF Operating and Regulatory construct and Aircraft Ground Equipment is required to work on a twelve month contract (WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION) for our Defence client based in Preston.
A vacancy exists within the Technical Services Team, CAS Ground Support Service for an In-Service Senior Support Engineer to provide support to programme Operations. This is a highly challenging role operating within a highly demanding contractual and platform operational/availability environment. As such the role requires a proactive and highly responsive approach in order to secure aircraft availability, Capability and performance in support of flight operations at the MOB and out-of area.
Overview of the In-Service Senior Support Engineer contract role
Support programme including products and services.
EDR responsibilities and interfaces with the internal and external organisation including Eurofighter GmbH (EF), Eurofighter Partners (EPC's) and Eurojet.
A general understanding of RSAF Operating and Regulatory construct and MAI interrelationships would be beneficial
A general understanding of Continuing Airworthiness and Design Organisation Regulatory Framework would be beneficial
An understanding of the Aircraft Programmes organisation, lines of business and product deliverables.
An understanding of the Business functions (Finance/Commercial/Procurement), contracts organisations and operating processes.
Experience, Skills and Knowledge
The ability to read, interpret and fully understand the different Technical Documentation, Diagrams, Specifications and Publications used in Building/supporting Aircraft including the supporting Aircraft Ground Equipment
Good communication skills
Good Engineering Integration skills
The role is based in Lancashire - commutable from Preston, Blackpool, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool, Lancaster and Leeds.
