Principal Control and Instrumentation Engineer
Overview of the Principal Control and Instrumentation Engineer contract role
In this pivotal role in our Electrical Design Team, you will contribute, within a challenging engineering environment to the successful delivery of future projects; executing, evaluating, delivering and managing complex engineering and/or cross functional tasks or programmes of work, recognising stakeholder and customer requirements.

- Results analysis.
Key skills required for the Principal Control and Instrumentation Engineer
- BEng (Hons)/MEng or equivalent.
- CEng status (or be able to satisfy requirements for CEng)
- MIET or Member of the Institute of Measurement and Control
- Experience of designing control and instrumentation for hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems on complex safety related projects.
- Background in Marine or Aeronautical Engineering or similar
- Proven track record of system or equipment design
Knowledge of one or more of the following areas:
Control Systems & Theory, Instrumentation, Communication Networks & Protocols, Equipment Design, Modelling/Simulation, Safety Systems, Nuclear Plant.
The role is based in Barrow in Furness, Cumbria - commutable from Carnforth, Milnthorpe, Lancaster, Morecambe, Penrith, Workington, Whitehaven and The Lake District.
