My client is looking for a Senior Procurement Officer on a 9-12 month contract to work in partnership with colleagues to ensure value for money and identifying needs of their stakeholders.

A minimum of 2 year experience in leading procurement projects from pre-tender planning stage through to award, in compliance with the appropriate legislation and best practice.
Sound working knowledge of current EU Procurement Directives, UK Public Contract Regulations and awareness of the latest government procurement policies and guidance.
To proactively plan, lead and manage procurement tenders whilst developing strategic relationships with internal customers and stakeholders alike
Developing guidance, tools and templates in consultation with Senior Procurement Manager, the wider procurement systems and development team, other senior colleagues within the procurement function and the Legal Services team.
Leading or supporting ad-hoc procurement projects from pre-tender stage through to award, where department procurement teams may have capacity issues and require additional resource.
Providing ad-hoc procurement advice and support to procurement colleagues across all departments.
You will have the confidence and expertise to challenge stakeholders to work collaboratively to agree best value
Ability to work with minimal supervision, organising and prioritising own workloads, but seeking support from line manager, or a Senior Manager, as and when required.
- CIPS Qualification desirable but not essential
- Expert OJEU regulation knowledge
- Experienced in ALL routes to market
- Ability to lead tender including compliance and evaluation
- Experienced in running a minimum of 15 tenders
- Tendering Frameworks knowledge advantageous
- Can-do attitude
