Senior Technical Management Engineer - Certification, Qualification, Flight Clearances
A Senior Technical Management Engineer with Certification, Qualification or Flight Clearances knowledge is required to work on a six month contract (WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION) for our Defence client based in Lancashire.
The Military Aircraft Qualification and Certification Team are responsible for managing the flight certification of development and series production aircraft. This Senior Technical Management role will be responsible for managing flight certification of the Aircraft.
This would typically involve co-ordinating the generation of flight clearances for new capabilities of development aircraft required by the UK MoD, Export or NATO customers.
Overview of the Senior Technical Management Engineer contract role
- Preparing Weapon System Level clearance documentation
- Working closely with the System Design areas of program, Airworthiness and Flight Development
- Ensuring that the test evidence presented by Design teams meets the clearance requirement
- Preparation of the Air Vehicle Specification and Block Clearances
- Preparation of the Aircraft Statement of Airworthiness
- Reviewing design certificates with the program Chief Engineer
- Participating in weekly reviews with Partner Companies and MoD Resident Project Officer
The role is based in Lancashire - commutable from Preston, Blackpool, Chorley, Leyland, Blackburn, Darwen, Burnley, Skipton, Stockport, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale and Oldham with excellent access from Liverpool, Lancaster and Leeds.
