Description

A leading American Asset Management Firm based in London is currently implementing MiFID II across Global Investment Management and is in need of a MiFID II Data Business Analyst to join the Strategy and Execution Team. The main aim of the role is to create a strategic solution to meet the numerous pieces of impending MiFID II legislation focused on the Costs and Charges of a fund and its associated services.

The MiFID II Data Business Analyst must have a strong Asset Management background with a bias towards projects involving the analysis and processing of data. Experience of the Middle Office elements of asset management is required, as would be an understanding of subjects such as Transfer Agency, Fund Pricing or Investment Accounting.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work with the business to identify solutions for the enhancement, development and implementation of scalable and robust Middle Office operating models and solutions, ensuring alignment to strategic business initiatives
  • Interact with the business globally to source and analyse fund and trade data to ensure its suitability and completeness for use in developing cost calculation information
  • Provide the mechanisms for the effective assessment of Middle Office operational capabilities and capacity for new business opportunities
  • Understand and transform new business requirements into operational models
  • Work in partnership with Technology to ensure that business requirements are translated into technical specifications and systematic solutions where required
  • Work with operational and distribution partners to ensure operational readiness around acceptance of new Middle Office requirements, data feeds and technology
  • Document Target Operating Models, solutions, use cases etc.
  • Coordination with the business teams to ensure operating model design, build and implementation is accepted and approved by all business stakeholders, before go live of the initiative - obtain full operating model sign off

Skills and Attributions:

  • Extensive Asset Management background
  • End to end Business Analyst skill set with proven experience working within the Middle Office and Operations
  • Excellent data experience, specifically fund and trade data; data models, sources, schemas etc.
  • Knowledge of Investment or Fund Accounting, Transfer Agency processes or Pricing would be an advantage
  • Experience working on MiFID II projects from a Middle Office perspective
