Finance Manager (Accounts Payable & Receivable) - SC clearance - 15 months contract - Stevenage
Please note: SC clearance is not essential - however it is preferred. If you do not have SC clearance, you will be required to apply which will be supported by the client.
A leading Client of Modis is looking for a Finance Manager who will be responsible to maintain on-going cash position in line with the business forecasts and requirements and highlight risks to the programme line Finance Business Partner in a timely manner.
As the Finance Manager you will be required to prepare the short (3, 6 & 12 month) and long term (five-year) cash planning along with being responsible for UK payroll data files including reconciliations, interfaces and necessary re-allocations.
The Finance Manager will also be responsible for:
- Maintain the Treasury policies, procedures and relevant reporting in line with the client's guidelines and directives
- Prepare short and medium term foreign currency forecasts and liaise with UK client
- Treasury experts to ensure that all foreign currency transaction risks are minimised
- Ensure all monthly, quarterly and annual PAYE and VAT requirements are met and any payments are submitted on time according to HMRC deadlines
- Half year and annual audit support in relation to accounting and hedging agreements
- Responsibility of company corporate and purchasing card schemes
- Back up for weekly expense and bi monthly payment runs
- Provide cover for other members of the team in areas of Cash, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Supervision of a team of three
- Ad Hoc duties as requested
The Finance Manager experience:
- Considerable amount of financial accounting experience including VAT
- Experience of payroll accounting including tax issues/rules
- Experience in methods for hedging foreign currency and the accounting treatment
- Ability to organise, schedule and monitor tasks in order to meet strict deadlines and to work well under pressure
- Ability to pick up new systems and procedures quickly
- Sound presentation skills and communication (verbal and written) skills
- EXCEL financial modelling skill
- SAP knowledge
- Supervisory skills
Qualifications
- Qualified CIMA/ACCA Accountant (part qualified Accountants may be considered)
