6 MONTH CONTRACT

Bank of America Merrill Lynch is currently seeking to recruit a Communications Executive to work in there offices based in London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing primarily external and internal communications support across the GR line of businesses in the EMEA region by working closely with relevant business heads and reporting to the Senior Vice President, Head of Global

Research Communications, EMEA.

Key skills:

  • Providing day to day press relation activities support: taking press calls, setting up and managing interviews, tracking forward features, maintaining media contacts lists, monitoring press coverage and taking responsibility for activity reporting, writing and issuing press releases.
  • Providing ad-hoc internal communications support: work with GR senior executives to develop and implement business focused internal communication plans, draft and manage the distribution of executive announcements, writing articles that engage employees, influence behaviour and support the company's objectives and manage internal approval processes with a range of stakeholders including senior executives, HR, Legal, Compliance etc.
  • Develop good working relationships with senior executives and spokespeople as well as relevant press contacts and BAML's PR agency network across the region in order to raise the profile of the bank in local press
  • Build and maintain a strong network of internal contacts and sources
  • Maintaining detailed records and logs of all external activity (legal & compliance requirement)
  • Help develop on-going press relationship-building programmes for senior executives

To be considered for this role the following skills must be present in your CV

  • Graduate level qualification in related subject
  • Exposure to Communication, Marketing, PR, Journalist work experience or related roles
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement
  • Polished publishing skills in word, PowerPoint etc.

  • Drive and ambition
