Finance Accountant, Accountancy, IFRS/FRS 101, Nottingham:
Senior Financial Accountant required to join one of the UK's leading Managed/IT Service Companies, following a period of dynamic growth through a number of acquisitions..
Reporting into the UK & US Finance Director, you will primarily focus on supporting management with the preparation of 2016 statutory accounts during FRS 101 transition and also support the groups overall transition to IFRS in 2017.
Job Responsibilities
Fully Qualified ACCA, ACA or other relevant professional qualification. Ideally 1-2 years PQE.
At least 5 years of relevant Financial Accounts experience, ideally from a practice/audit background
Experience of IFRS/FRS 101 transition & related Accounting Standards
Must be willing to put the hours in as and when required to meet statutory and internal deadlines
Candidate must take full responsibility for task given and demonstrate a sense of ownership
Attention to detail.
Ability to deal with and understand large data sets
Candidate should be highly numerate and be able to identify inconsistencies in data.
The candidate must be organised to address many tasks in given time frames.
Good communication and people skills.
Ability to work independently and identify solutions to problems.
Experience Required
Preparation of numerous FRS101 Statutory Accounts including transition from both FRS 102 and UK GAAP
Analysing and reviewing data provided by the business for disclosure in the statutory accounts
Extracting, analysing and reconciling data from underlying accounting and other systems.
Liaising with auditors during the accounts preparation and providing supporting documentation
Some Month End Tasks required - Revenue Reconciliations
Other Ad hoc tasks and month end tasks may be added to the remit as required
Assist in Group wide transition to IFRS for the UK/US Region as required
