Seeking a Change Management Project Manager for a government entity. Our client is developing a change management strategy, as well as organizing change management activities including development of training and communications.

The Organizational Change Management (OCM), Project Manager leads and consults on organizational change management initiatives within the organization to include IT. This

includes, but is not limited to, sponsor/stakeholder management, communications, learning, business readiness, and organization design. Partners with project leadership, business leadership, and OCM team members to plan, design and implement change management strategies and tactics in support of the successful adoption and sustainability of technology initiatives. Partners in the development and continuous improvement of OCM methodologies and tools.

Qualifications Include:

  • Experience leading large scale, complex organizational change management initiatives for business or technology changes; includes expertise in one or more of the following areas: sponsor/stakeholder management, learning, communication, business readiness, and organization design
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; ability to build strong relationships
  • Ability to think strategically while focusing on tactical execution
  • Ability to effectively frame concepts and situations, even where ambiguity may exist
  • Ability to leverage diagnostic and problem solving skills to creatively develop solutions to improve business adoption of process and technology changes
  • Ability to quickly and appropriately adapt solutions and personal style to changing business context and organizational needs
  • Effective verbal/written communication skills across a broad range of organizational levels and functions including executive level
  • Ability to influence without authority and coach peers, stakeholders, and executives
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • 2 years of experience in organizational change management within and IT organization is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree a plus
  • Formal training in change management methodologies PROSCI is a plus
  • Demonstrated experience with CM concepts and best practices
  • Change Management Strategy Creation expertise
  • Knowledge of metrics related to all phases of the change management process
  • Government experience is a plus

  • Apply organizational change management knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to projects to drive the achievement of project and business change objectives
  • Identify cross project or program
  • organizational change dependencies, business impacts, and facilitate coordination of these where necessary
  • Partner with project leadership and project management team to track and report project progress, dependencies, risks, and issues
  • Deliver successful project execution on time and on budget
  • Assure the quality and effectiveness of organizational change efforts being led by business partners or external consultants through periodic progress, process, and/or product reviews against established standards
  • Build organizational change management capability within the organization
  • Partner with the OCM, Program Manager in the definition, implementation and continuous improvement of organizational
  • change management methodologies, tools, and practices
  • Support the evolution of the organizational change management competency throughout IT and business teams engaged on technology projects by providing training and/or coaching and mentoring to project team members and stakeholders
  • Partner with project managers, business sponsors/stakeholders, and IT teams to define requirements (capabilities, hours/dollars, capacity) for organizational change management labor for new technology requests from the business
  • Provide input into the project plan (schedule, scope, dependencies, risk) related to organizational change management activities during the portfolio intake/slotting process
