Description
Summary:The Planning Engineer is responsible for providing planning and scheduling support to technical groups executing projects. The individual will work closely with Technology Transfer, Automation & Engineering, Facilities and QA Validation to ensure project goals and timelines are achieved.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establish project objectives with Technical Group Project Manager (PM).
- Responsible for development and maintenance of project schedules.
- Identify critical path activities.
- Track project progress and milestones.
- Facilitate readiness and review meetings.
- Generate and distribute project status reports.
- Identify and communicate schedule variance and plan corrective actions with Technical Group PM.
- Ensure all tasks are performed in a manner consistent with safety standards and within cGMP guidelines at all sites.
- Demonstrated interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Ability to effectively communicate issues and ideas with peers and with management.
- Ability to adapt to a quickly changing environment.
- Ability to facilitate meetings with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to build effective working relationships throughout the organisation.
- Requires a BEng/BSc degree in Engineering, Life Sciences or related field.
- Formal PM qualification beneficial.
- Requires strong communication and problem solving skills.
