Senior Project manager - Delivery, Change, Governance

My client a large financial organisation are looking for a Senior Project manager - Delivery, Change, Governance to joint heir successful organisation on an initial 3 month contract.

The Senior Project manager - Delivery, Change, Governance will be a key player in delivering change, through projects (or small programmes), on behalf of the business. The Senior Project manager - Delivery, Change, Governance will also shape business ideas into clear project deliverables, enabling cost effective and timely delivery through the appropriate Delivery Model(s) and contractual arrangements.

The Senior Project manager - Delivery, Change, Governance will deliver Projects (likely to be high in complexity, scale and risk to the business) or small Programmes, managing overall scope, timeline, budget and benefits, ensuring appropriate assurance governance and reporting is in place and that Sponsors and Key Stakeholders are fully engaged.

The Senior Project manager - Delivery, Change, Governance will have the following Role Accountabilities:
Have full accountability for the initiation and delivery of projects or small programmes to agreed scope, timescales, budgets, benefits and quality, utilising the Simplified Change Lifecycle, and in compliance with project and programme Governance
Successfully define the project scope and determine the most appropriate delivery approach, in compliance with agreed Delivery Model(s)
Undertake project planning, identifying internal & external dependencies.
Ensure, through the Project Sponsor, that a Financial Business Case is in place, reflecting agreed project scope, costs and benefits.
Mobilise and manage the project team, adopting ways of working that are appropriate to the project's Delivery Model and enable and support effective delivery of Third Party deliverables where applicable.
Provide Matrix management, leadership and clear direction for all members of the project team to ensure effective collaboration and team-working.
Participate in contract negotiations with potential Third Party suppliers to confirm requirements, costs and timescales to enable commercial agreements that are appropriate and in line with the agreed Delivery Model(s).
Identify, assess and proactively manage risks, issues and dependencies associated with the project.
Communicate the project status with key stakeholders throughout the life of the project ensuring that all reports and communications are timely, relevant, accurate and appropriate to the audience, ensuring proactive stakeholder management,
Support the achievement of department objectives and business improvement initiatives by sharing and applying best practice and lessons learned to build the team capability and to demonstrate/promote the value of Project Management services to the wider business community.
