Sr Financial Analyst
Description:

Creates financial models, tools and reports with key metrics and measures of performance that are relevant, actionable and lead to the success of the Finance Operations Business Unit.

Produces models incorporating multiple data sources into reports and recommendations which enable decision making.

Conducts gap analysis on differences in data/results which inform stakeholders on risks and opportunities.

Influence, negotiate and act as change agent to drive the financial assumptions associated with various projects.

Analyzes the external environment and competition, develops and creates an understanding of external forces for benchmarking and relevant analytical approaches for the Business Unit.

Participates in the identification and standardization of key business processes, design of analytical approaches, and development of tools which enable benefit identification, analysis and reporting.

Provides support to business cases for key Shared Service initiatives.

Develops strong operational partnerships with Finance Operations leaders and Regional/Program Finance stakeholders to further key business/operational initiatives and resolve impediments.

Support FO leaders through effectively anticipating and addressing the short and longer-term implications of decisions/actions.

Manages, maintains and produces regular operational & financial reports in addition to ad hoc analyses, as needed.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in related financial/economic study.

10+ years financial and/or accounting experience.

3+ years supervisory experience.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) required.

Able to clearly communicate complex subjects and issues to a broad range of audiences.

Strong ability to direct and motivate others required.

Strong strategic and financial thinking skills required.

Demonstrated ability to analyze, understand and communicate complex issues and trends required.

Proven ability to lead complex, multi-functional projects requiring the engagement of people with whom you have no direct line management relationship

Thorough knowledge of cost management techniques, financial control, financial analysis, financial modelling and reporting.
Masters degree in Business Administration preferred.
Experience with data management, Business Intelligence and benchmarking preferred. CPA, CMA or CFA preferred.
