Financial Controller/Finance Manager - Contract - 6 months initially - Watford.
My client, a leading academy, is looking for a Financial controller/Finance manager for an initial 6 month contract, with the possibility of an extension or a permanent role thereafter.
The post holder should have the following qualifications/education: A qualified or part-qualified member of a CCAB affiliated organisation, CIMA or overseas equivalent.
Job Description:
The post holder will be responsible for: Supporting the financial management of the Academy by: Leading on the production of the Academy's financial statements, working closely with the Assistant Director of Finance (Financial Management & Academy), to ensure the Academy's financial position and performance is reported accurately and in a timely manner that enables its auditors to give an unqualified opinion. Keeping up to date with relevant changes, especially financial ones, within the Academy sector. Assisting the Assistant Director of Finance (Financial Management & Academy) in producing a budget and medium term financial plan that reflects the objectives and ambitions of the Academy whilst recognising the financial constraints within which it operates. Supporting the Assistant Director of Finance (Financial Management & Academy) in ensuring that the Academy operates strong and robust financial systems and controls.
