Description
Our client, a leading life and pensions firm based in Scotland are seeking an experienced Financial Specialist/Actuary for a 12 month contract.
Key responsibilities:
- Financial reporting, ongoing solvency monitoring and stress and scenario testing
- Delivering and development of analysis and reporting of valuation results
- Development and delivery of complex actuarial models to support valuations
- Excellent technical Actuarial knowledge, with attention to detail
- Understanding and interest in Solvency II and Economic Capital reporting
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Commercial aptitude and the ability to consider the impact of decisions
- Strong commercial and collaboration skills
- Ability to express own viewpoint and to communicate clearly on complex actuarial issues
- Knowledge of the business or reporting experience would be an advantage; however training and support will be provided to candidates with the required potential
- Experience of annuity products and economic capital reporting would be advantageous.
- Fully proficient with Excel and Word, high levels of numeracy, literacy, analytical and problem-solving skills
