Description

Project Manager - international documentation projects

For our client, a world leader in document management and work flow solutions, we need a Project Manager to co-ordinate the work for a variety of documentation development teams for both internal and external customer projects.

Working with global teams, you will manage various contract and non-contract authoring projects to achieve 100% contract/SLA compliance with 100% client satisfaction.
Specifically this will include:

  • project planning,
  • forecasting and tracking,
  • liaising with customer representatives and other stakeholders.

You should have good project management skills, ideally with experience working in a technical documentation environment, or an understanding of the documentation development life cycle. An understanding of the concepts of Content Management Systems and DITA would be advantageous, as would a formal project management qualification.

You must have excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills. Flexibility in working hours will be required as project and development teams are on three continents, crossing 12 time zones.

In addition, strong financial acumen is required with experience of project forecasting, tracking and reporting. Microsoft Excel skills are a must.

You will have the enthusiasm, drive, and determination to succeed, with a good sense of proportion when dealing with challenging and changing project demands.

This assignment is initially to the end of 2017, and will then renew. After the first 8-10 weeks we anticipate a proportion of the work can be completed off-site.
