Description

A global Renewable Energy client is looking for a WTG Installation Client Representative for their wind farm project. The WTG Installation Client Representative will report to the WTG offshore Installation Site Manager and will support the WTG installation Package team in the successful and safe delivery of the offshore WTG installation works. Our client is looking for the WTG Installation Client Representative to be able to start this approximately 5 months freelance role from the end of April up until end Sept early Oct 2017. There will be a shift period, day to day responsibility for on-site monitoring and reporting of all aspects of the installation work, whilst on the installation vessel or at the Harbour Site during the loading of components and for communication of responsibilities and activities across shifts. The Client Representative will be mainly vessel based but will occasionally be required to take part in meeting onshore at the harbour sites or at the project office.
Responsibilities:
  • To monitor, escalate and when required reporting of all Environmental, Health and Safety incidents.
  • Notifying and alerting the WTG Package team of any or perceived WTG installation risk.
  • Assist with reviewing and preparing WTG installation related documentation relating to variations, management of changes.
  • To maintain and produce an internal to the project, daily progress report (DPR) and receive and validate contractor's daily reports.
  • To take a leading role when required with assessing design, method or equipment changes and advising the WTG Package Team.
  • When required, assess and audit contractor's documentation.
  • To monitor and record forecast and actual weather conditions and contractors weather decisions.
  • Monitor and validate the contractor's compliance with documentation and with the contract.
  • Instruct the contractors to stop the works immediately should the need arise.
  • Coordinate and communicate with package team, HSE, QA, project management representatives attending on board the installation vessel.
  • To identify and notify the Project management of any issues that may arise and provide assistance in resolving any issues.

Qualifications of Candidates:
Essential:
  • Experience in a similar role within the energy or offshore industry (proven).
  • Must have a good understanding of the technology of Wind Turbines utilised in the offshore wind industry.
  • Good understanding of contractual, technical WTG Installation contracts and specifications.

Previous experience:
  • Work procedure preparation and/or review.
  • Work sequence planning.
  • Quality management.
  • Environmental management.
  • Risk assessment and management.

Required:
  • Good knowledge of HSE in particular CDM 2015 regulations.
  • Must be able to travel and work offshore on a 28 day cycle.
  • Must be prepared to transfer offshore by either CTV, ship to ship or by helicopter transfer if required.
Certificates:
  • Valid offshore medical, offshore survival and tower climbing certificate.
  • Must be computer literate: MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
