Description
I am working with a dynamic business who seek a Payroll Supervisor on a contract basis to support a large payroll based in Peterborough. You will have experience of managing a team and have the experience to take full ownership of the Payroll function, working closely with the Finance and HR Team.
Key responsibilities and skills required include:
Processing monthly and weekly Payroll
Produce RTI reports
Update cash forecast for each payroll pay, taxes and recharges and work with Treasury team
To be able to have good eye for detail, good analytical skills, comparing data and use to doing reports
The ability to solve maternity, pay, income tax and sickness pay calculations is important.
To ensure accuracy of data extracted from the systems
To set up, update and manage efficient work systems and effective internal controls within the payroll function, ensuring that processing errors are minimised and changes are reflected accurately and promptly.
To manage and maintain high levels of quality and service, ensuring prompt and accurate processing, payment, reporting and record keeping of payroll
To provide high quality advice on payroll-related matters, responding to queries and liaising with departmental managers, staff, HR, Finance and Inland Revenue as necessary.
To continually review existing processes and systems, with a view to innovate new practices, develop new or improved procedures and recommend and implement
Experience in using SAP is preferred with good rounded knowledge in general accounting systems
Ability to lead and mentor
Deal with queries efficiently and with care
Robust in dealing with deadlines and adaptable to change
Relevant qualification in Payroll Administration
