Senior Software Test Engineer.
Your function:
As a Senior Software Test Engineer within the R&D department, you're contributing to the quality evaluation of the applications which are being developed. The domain ofservices encompasses home energy, safety and comfort management. You report directly to the R&D manager. Your main responsibilities and activities are:
You implement and maintain a test framework for the developed embedded software as well as the backend software (.NET).
You are operationally responsible for the various test environments.
You develop (design, write, maintain and execute) automated tests independently, in line with the team approach. These tests cover the end to end solution of our products.
You apply testing best practices for creating stable automated tests and execute efficient manual testing
You co-specify and review product requirements up front to ensure testability (acceptance criteria, risk assessment, etc).
You are responsible for the overall quality of the releases delivered to our client base. You work together with development, product management and customer support to maximize the outcome.
You display pro-active behaviour and are not afraid to represent your opinions, ideas and creative concepts to the R&D team in a goal-oriented manner.
You work together with the engineers to improve the end to end development process as a whole.
Your profile:
We are looking for a motivated colleague with a result driven approach, an open and team oriented mindset with a strong focus on quality and very good analytical skills. More specifically you have the knowledge/experience:
Experience in the domain of software testing (+5 years) is a must.
Good communicative and social skills and eager to collaborate with a diverse group of colleagues and stakeholders is a must.
Must be able to take ownership on tasks and show leadership
Skilled in test automation, scripting languages and continuous integration is a must.
Strong analytical skills combined with a problem solving and pragmatic attitude, never letting go of your quality driven mindset.
Experience in testing platform software (backend) interacting with numerous hardware devices in the field, is a plus.
Experience working in an agile (scrum based) approach is a plus.
