SAP/MIS Business Analyst - Stockport - Permanent - £50,000

As a Senior Business Analyst/Project Lead, you'll work within the organisation, helping to manage change and plan for the future in line with our company goals with a bias towards IT systems. This could be on being responsible for delivery of one specific project, or as a change agent within MIS in the next instance. You'll need to understand our current organisational needs, identify future situations and create solutions to help meet those needs, usually (but not always) in relation to information and software systems and how best to deliver these to quickly release benefits out the organisation.

From the outset, you'll need to demonstrate excellent understanding of the way the organisation works and the sector it operates in, as you will be helping the organisation to develop its functions, services and products to meet goals with internal and external stakeholders.

You will also play a key role in communicating between internal departments and external parties, acting as a 'translator' where necessary to incorporate how information technology can support the organisation's needs.

Responsibilities

*Be able to operate independently, defining your own and plan of action and operating to this

*Have the capability to take on project lead role in some smaller projects or initiatives when required, including responsibility for budget, risk and delivery management

*Communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs of departments and the organisation as a whole

*Work with external stakeholders to understand and investigate feedback into the service/function/product provided

*Lead workshops to drive conclusions and consensus with the different country organisations

*Use data modelling practices to analyse your findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes

*Consider the opportunities and potential risks attached to the suggestions you have made and gain agreement, usually from senior management, of the best method of introducing your recommendations to the business

*Identify the processes and information technology required to introduce your recommendations and effectively communicate the recommendation across departments, helping to address any uncertainty and concern

*Support the staff and teams in making the recommended changes, including helping to remove any blockers to delivery

*Produce written documentation to support your work, report on your findings and to present to stakeholders when necessary

*Ensure plans are made and processes are created to evaluate the impact of the changes, including taking responsibility for overseeing and reporting on this evaluation

*Act as proxy Product Owner on projects for the business, making sure the project delivers on the right priorities within the Product Backlog

Skills required:

*Ability to work to tight deadlines, manage priorities and take responsibility of both yourself and your team for delivering to time and quality requirements

*Understanding of SDLC processes and procedures, and how best to utilise supporting delivery methods to achieve success

*First rate communication skills and ability to apply these to rapid and creative problem solving in a pressurised environment

*Understanding how data from multiple sources can be used to drive effective Analytics solutions

*Experience of understanding complex business processes, documenting them and proposing change by engaging and influencing business and technology stakeholders at all levels

*Capability to use facilitation skills in resolving alternative viewpoints and coming together to create an agreed outcome.

*Willingness to challenge the business thinking, using influencing to drive the right outcome

*Ability to work without close supervision, define direction and comply with overall department strategy and objectives

Experience in the following areas would be desirable:

*SAP Suite of Applications

*Sitecore or other CMS systems

*Agile Delivery Methodologies

*Business Process Modelling and Notation;

*Sales and Marketing processes

*Experience of Pan- European Organisations

*Process alignment
