Job title: Scrum Master
Job type: Daily rate contract
Duration: 3 months initially with high potential of extending
Location: Dublin city centre
The business: E-learning Company. You will work across the team to deliver our new brand and platform. This will be launching in early summer. The initial launch will have 4-6 courses available on web application. All courses will be video based and produced specifically for the project. What you will be doing:
- Work with Product Owner to develop, groom, prioritize and maintain the product backlog
- Lead all Scrum Ceremonies, stand ups, sprint planning, demos, retrospectives etc.
- Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress
- Guide the team to ensure Agile practices and principles are adhered to
- Ensure the Development Team is self-organising
- Shield the team from interruptions during sprints
- Remove obstacles which affect the team
- Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
- Responsible for technical delivery of the project
What you will need:
- Experience working with distributed teams is a must
- 2+ years' experience as a Scrum Master developing software using Agile methodologies
- Scrum Master Certification (not required)
- Experience with techniques such as planning poker, user stories, TDD, continuous integration etc
- Excellent understanding of and passion for Agile development methodologies
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Balsamiq or similar
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills
