Description

Final Accounts
Take off, measurement of quantities between head contract and subcontracts
Participate and support external payments progress measurement audits in consultation with the
Fabrication Project Manager,.
Source cost base for contract and subcontract billed items for the purposes of Contractor determinations
Support Fabrication Project Manager in the preparation and justification of Payment applications towards employer and subcontractors
Actively analyse and drive Opportunity and Risk management and Change Register with emphasis on Subcontract
Providing astute cost management advice, financial reporting as well as negotiating of
Subcontractor variations .
Participate in presentations and meetings when required plus contribute to proposal documentation.
This is a site based (Fabrication Subcontractors) position and involves working with each subcontractor during the development and definition of back to back, variations and alignment with
the Contract Manager for the same.
Via one on one consultation and support, reaffirming with the Subcontractors, Subcontract process for re-measurement and key success interfaces with the Employer
Develop an in-depth knowledge of the Contract and subcontract conditions of contract to be able to support the delivery team as required.
Contribute to the management and maintenance of a subcontract cost reporting system ensuring all financial information is managed and up-to-date and tracked with budget/tender allowances,
commitments and deviations highlighted and managed
With other members of the team, produce and provide accurate forecasts of project cost to completion and final value.
Ensure that necessary interface information is shared with the Contract Manager regarding sub- contractors and main Contract, in a timely manner
Ensure subcontract variations, claims and notices are identified, valued and translated into agreed variation orders with the Employer in a timely manner and registered in the project change tracker.
Assist in ensuring effective records are maintained to support subcontract claims and that applications for payment for variations are issued in a timely manner.
Submits/input into daily/weekly/monthly progress reports to the Fabrication Project Manager.
Actively and continually contributes to and supports project incentives such as , lessons learnt and knowledge transfer within project team and functional area
Processes all data accurately and correctly to ensure delivery of end product is to project specification.
Any other assigned task.

Profile
Strong analytical skills
A technical background for reading sample drawings
A good knowledge of cost calculations
Sense of accuracy and attention to detail
Cost Calculations of changes in the project by collecting information from internal departments/projects where the potential impact on execution time and safety (method statements) is not forgotten
Actively develops to building long-term relationships with subcontractors to the benefit of GeoSea and the Project.
Takes steps to create a good working environment and team spirit and to demonstrate fair and reasonable authority within the limits of his/her position
