Finance/Commercial Transactions Assistant

My global client requires a Finance/Commercial Transactions Assistant to join on an initial 6 months contract in Leatherhead, Surrey.

Accountabilities:

*Maintaining a right first time transacting and control environment for promotional rebates and agreed business plan fees with all necessary controls in place
*Ensuring that the KPIs for outstanding claims and deductions stay within the targets set and that a robust escalation process is maintained
*That action plans are in place to address any areas within the customer relating to process weakness, poor performance or a specific customer issue.
*To ensure that all balance sheet accruals can be supported at all times with correct documentation
*To demonstrate expert knowledge surrounding rebate agreements so as to be able to respond to queries from either customer development or finance business partners.
*Ensure that all operating processes are being kept up to date within the specific area of responsibility.
*Ensuring seamless working with the outsourced shared service functions to resolve promotional claims
*To assist auditors in audit requests relating to the Commercial Transactions team.
*To support the Commercial Transactions Lead and other senior members of the team when required.
*Participate in and driving projects, process development and elimination of inefficiencies
*Aid with embedding new ways of working within both the immediate team as well as the wider business

Key Experience/Skills Required:

*A high level of accountability and integrity, being able to hold self and others accountable
*Well-developed communication skills, written and verbal internally with peers and senior managers and confidence communicating externally with customers
*Awareness of the organisation's P&L and balance sheet and the impact that Trade Term transactions have on these two financial statements
*Experienced user of SAP and Excel to intermediate level
*Early Stages of either AAT or CIMA/ACCA
