We are looking for a "PeopleSoft Time-Reports Consultant" to start ASAP a 25 days contract (initial) in LUXEMBOURG supporting an EU-agency-client (EN-speaking environment). Extensions are possible!

TASKS: Analyze of the current recording time application and on the research of solution that could replace this application with a new one that is more user-friendly, more flexible and easier to maintain.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a PeopleSoft Time-Reports Consultant (Business analyst profile) to analyse the current recording time application, and oto assist the research of solution that could replace this application with a new one that is more user-friendly, more flexible and easier to maintain.
Currently the customer employees are recording time worked by using the module Time and Labour from PeopleSoft HCM 8.9.
The aim of this project is to identify possible solutions that could replace this application with a new one that is more user-friendly, more flexible and easier to maintain.
You will analyse the current solution that the customer is using for creating staff timesheets and identification of other software solutions that may be able to meet the customer's needs for the future.

Three options have to be studied:

  • Use an existing module in PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 (eg Time Reports from Travel & Expenses)
  • Develop a custom module in PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2
  • Identify existing applications (off the shelf) on the market that could meet the needs and customer requirements of the customer

TASKS - The tasks/activities will include:

  • Analyse and understand available business requirements;
  • Analyse the current application and identify its strengths and weaknesses;
  • Analyse the existing PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 standard module(s) designed for the employees time tracking and identify how this could meet the customer needs;
  • Analyse the possibility of creating a new module in PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 and define the main functionalities;
  • Carry out market research of software1 and identify existing products that could in principle be used to provide time recording for customer employees' activities.

SKILLS - The staff member must demonstrate knowledge in:

  • Extensive knowledge of the time management, time-tracking software;
  • Extensive knowledge of different sources and techniques of time-tracking in the IT domain;
  • Good knowledge of PeopleSoft FSCM/HCM solutions.

The staff member must demonstrate competence in:

  • Analysing existing software solutions;
  • Carrying out software market research/market analysis;
  • Report writing and documentation;
  • Business analysis and project management techniques.

Deliverables & Schedule:

  • Comprehensive list of the major deliverables:
  • Deliver a report containing a comparison between the three options that have been studied, highlighting the advantages and disadvantages of each other, by taking into account the customer needs;
  • Within the report, providing a ranking of the three cases;
  • The mission will cover 25 business days, during which the staff member will work closely with functional support and IT staff from the customer in order to deliver the market research report.
