Service delivery manager - Finance
A Service delivery manager is required for a 6 month initial contract. The suitable candidate will have a background in Finance and Accountancy and have experience of leading Finance teams within a public sector environment however this is not essential.
Details about the role:
- Demonstrated F&A management experience.
- Experience including application and interpretation of financial controls and compliance requirements in an F&A environment.
- Management of teams responsible for:
- Payment of approved supplier invoices;
- Returns to HMRC and other legislative bodies;
- Provision of financial support to schools, academies and other customers;
- Management of income collection.
- Management of a team responsible for:
- System administration and maintenance of F&A and HR systems.
- Management of service teams ensuring that they are adequately trained and that their work is both timely and accurate.
- Keeping abreast of all developments and legislation surrounding F&A. Ensuring all legislation is implemented and adhered to.
- Demonstrated team leadership ability.
- Ability to create, review and supply policies and procedures.
- Customer service focus.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
General
Ensuring that performance management procedures are fully implemented. This includes undertaking annual reviews, half-yearly reviews and 1:1's. Manage performance issues of the team.
Identify and implement service efficiency improvements.
Maintains effective financial procedures with transparent, auditable processes and controls.
Supports internal and external audits as required.
