Description
The position is responsible for supporting the Chief of Staff, FCC UK in the development, articulation, implementation and monitoring of the function's primary enterprise wide risk framework accountabilities.
The role holder oversees the key enterprise wide risk responsibilities: Risk Appetite; Risk Governance; Stress and Scenario Analysis.
This position supports the alignment and integration of each of the elements with each other as well as embedding its use with functional owners and businesses against direction of CRO/RMC/RMM.
The individual will support in shaping the responses to top and emerging risks; develop, maintain and communicate internal Group risk governance and policy, and external risk, in the light of regulatory, business and internal control requirements. Work cross functionally within Risk Management to ensure that risks are brought together and facilitate the strengthening of the second line of defence.

The role will support the Chief of Staff, FCC in their commitments to the Head of the UK FCC. This includes meeting internal reporting requirements to senior risk management committees, the HBEU Board and other key business/governance forums. This will often require extensive research and understanding of FCC activities and risk issues, drafting high quality papers, presentations and updates.
Knowledege and Experience required:
- Suitable understanding of financial crime compliance/previous experience required
- Proactive self-starter with proven ability to execute at pace
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively, and focused on delivery
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with senior stakeholders
- Strong report writing skills, and ability to draft high quality presentations
