Description

Our global Renewable Energy client is looking for a number of Consultants to work as Survey Client Representatives (Senior Staff) for their offshore wind farm project. The duration of this role is anticipated to be 4 months with the possibility of extending further thereafter. Start date is approx: 8th May 2017 up until approx. 31st August 2017. Rotation: 2 weeks on/2 weeks off, 12 hrs./day. The rotation could be 2-4 weeks.
Job description/Responsibilities:
The Survey client representative main task is supervision of the technical execution of:
  • Mobilisation and calibration of equipment
  • Positioning of vessel and equipment
  • Sub-surface positioning of ROV
  • Set-up and survey operation during inspection and EOD
  • Data quality
  • On-board data processing
The Survey Client Representative must ensure that HSE requirements from the client are followed at all times
The Survey Client Representative is expected to prepare a progress report daily and send it by email to the client in addition to frequent direct communication in general either by email or telephone
The Survey Client Representative must contribute to a report summarising the offshore work from mobilisation to demobilisation (to be delivered latest to weeks after demobilisation)
  • Survey details including mobilisation and calibrations
  • Key personnel
  • Time breakdown
  • HSE
  • Vessel
  • Survey/inspection equipment
  • Environmental observations
  • Summary of data quality
  • General comments and discussion of the quality of the campaign
Should disputes arise offshore regarding data quality (eg weather tolerances etc.) or HSE arise, the Survey Client Representative will have the authority to stop the work. Should any disputes arise they must be noted in the daily report, and serious disputes must be reported immediately to the project manager
Technical scope for this campaign includes a working class ROV fitted with:
  • MBES
  • Forward scanning sonar (eg ARIS Explorer 3000)
  • EM coil system (eg TSS440)
  • Dredging pump
  • Video Camera
For positioning, an INS aided USBL system with DVL is expected
Also a high level DGPS system supported by vessel gyro and MRU will be used
Qualifications of Candidates:
  • Full GWO Certificates:
  • Experience with geophysical survey (multibeam and electromagnetic coil systems in particular)
  • Experience with ROV operations (especially UXO inspections)
  • Sea farers Offshore Medical
  • First Aid course
  • Firefighting course
  • Sea survival and transfer training
  • Training could also be according to similar standards such as STCW2010, OPITO approved BOSIET
Special Provisions:
The Consultants will be required to bring his/her own PC with MS Office 2007 software or newer and i-Phone mobile telephone or Windows 8.1
The Consultants must have his/her own PPE equipment (Personal Protection Equipment).
