Cost Manager - Chemical/Petrochemical - Mainland Europe - Staff or Contract £90,000 - £100,000k + Benefits + BonusesWe are looking for Cost Control Managers from a Chemical/Petrochemical background to work with the world's leading Chemical Manufacturing and Crude Oil Refiner.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting major project in Petrochemical, Chemical and Oil & Gas Brownfield Construction.
In this role you will be reporting into the Project Controls Manager, you will be responsible for the implementation and execution of the Cost Control process on a large scale and complex project.
The Role:
- Manage the output of the Cost Management Team
- Forecasts, controls and reports project costs
- Develop and provide project variances, trending and analysis of expenditures, and completion reports
- Review project costs incurred by category
- Manage the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to professional staff or managers
- Participate in the development of project controls strategy
- Use experience as well as problem solving skills to develop and improve processes
- May provide guidance to less experienced members of the team
- The ideal candidate will be educated to Degree level (or equivalent)
- Hold a Project Management Qualification.
- This position is most suited to those with several years' experience in related projects, as well as an in depth knowledge of cost control methods and tools (including EVM and CRA).
- Excellent client facing skills as well as leadership and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be dealing with people at all levels.
- You will have the ability to manage time, plans, projects and other tasks successfully as well as hold a sound knowledge of all engineering, procurement and construction aspects of delivering major process plant capital projects in an international environment.
