EHS Compliance Specialist
Part of the EHS team ensure compliance, and all government regulations delivering a sustainable EHS culture of excellence and active participation in EHS activities.
Responsibilities. Participate as a key member of local leadership team, driving compliance solutions and EHS simplification.. Drive continuous improvement and operationalization of Framework 2.0,EHS programs, procedures, and tools to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Best Practices.. Vigorously lead/drive EHS operationalization and accountability to all employees.. High Risk Operation Management/Knowledge of Highly Hazardous Chemical processes. Lead, Plan and coordinate EHS training as required. Preparation for ISO audit recertification planned June 2017
* Contribute to the overall success of the business through strong and value added participation, leadership and support of critical business initiatives.. Active member of site security team activity ensuring the welfare and security of our employees.. Develop and maintain strong relationships with local team, community and regulators.. Participate as effective EHS professional in driving EHS excellence in performance and culture.
* Participate as an effective team member and colleague sharing ideas, best practices, and learnings to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the overall business. Qualifications. Bachelor degree in Environment Health & Safety. Chartered member of IOSH. Domain Knowledge of EHS regulations and compliance. Preferably 4 years' experience in EHS or large manufacturing facility Desired Skills. Strong leadership and influencing skills.
* Broad knowledge of EHS regulatory requirements.. Outstanding communication skills (written and oral)
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple issues with competing priorities.. High energy, self-starter, Team Player.. Good problem solving skills.. Motivator with good Say/Do track record. Six Sigma Greenbelt trained/certified. Knowledge of EHS Management systems.. Supervision, including development of other career professionals in the areas of technical competency and leadership.
