Munitions Manufacturing Engineer

A Munitions Manufacturing Engineer is required to work on a twelve month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Crewe

This is a 12 month contract working with a leading UK defence company.

Overview of the Munitions Manufacturing Engineer contract role

As the Munitions Manufacturing Engineer you will be required to lead the site teams in developing plans for performance improvement strategies that aligns to operating systems as well as identifying projects based on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) performance and also to monitor the process improvement through OEE.

Key skills required for the Munitions Manufacturing Engineer

  • Degree (Hons) or Apprenticeship and BTEC (HND/HNC) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A good understanding of mechanical principles, manufacturing techniques and munitions assembly processes.
  • Working knowledge around ammunition predominantly small arms
  • An understanding of technical reporting techniques.
  • Must be fully computer literate
